My 24th Birthday!

Ok so I am sitting here the night of my 24 birhtday and I can truly say it was a wonderful day. As I think back on my life I've come to realize that yes we do become older but we become wiser and I think its a pretty good trade off. I loved spending my birthday with Jimmy, is my first birthday since we've been married and I really ejoyed it. Everyone made my day so sweet and nice. It truly was a special day. I loved my dad singing happy birthday on the phone to me and I loved talking to my mom about the day I was born.I definetly got the royal treatment from the Newsom's and got so many nice gifts. I want to say Thank you to EVERYONE that made my day special! I love you all.

Santa Cruz

Two weeks ago we went to Santa Cruz for the graduation of Jimmy's cousin Grace. We had a really good trip. We stayed with Jimmy's grandparents friends. They were the nicest people ever. They let us stay at their house and fed us the most delicious food. It was really nice to meet Jimmy's cousins and spend some time with them. We went to the Santa Cruz board walk and Jimmy and Jim played the "how fast can you throw" game. They had a machine that measured the speed, Jimmy's best was 63mph. It was fun watching. On Sunday we went to the graduation and had a nice lunch after. It was a very relaxing weekend.

My first blanket

I'm really exited because I finished my first sowing project. A baby blanket for Ashley's Braden. I had lots of fun making it. Thank you Lorena for all your help and patience with teaching me. I am ready to make more!

New Job

So thankfully after looking for a job I found one! Jimmy's friend's Dave's girlfriend Carly works at the local hospital and she told me to apply. So I did and they called me. I had an interview that went good, had to take a test with a math portion, not so good. But in the end they picked me! Im exited. I will be admiting people into the hospital. Its a per hour job. So most likely ill come in when they need help. Im really exited.

May

So I haven't been bloggin in a while. We are always keeping busy and have done quite a bit since my last post. The whole month of May totally flew by and its June! Which is birthday month for me and I like birthdays but i specially enjoy mine the best. In the month of May we went to my cousin's graduation from Stanford Law School. We went down to Palo Alto and it was really fun to see some of my family. We also went to the county fair we walked around through the rides played some carnaval games , ate some delicous kettle corn; garlic fries and saw a rodeo. Jimmy ate the garlic fries and let me tell you the garlic was strong.. really strong it lasted for 2 days. Also on May 14 Jimmy's grandpa Ken passed away (Jimmy's mom's dad). I had the chance to spend some time with him and I am glad that I had the chance to meet him. He was always so funny and had great stories. He had been sick for a while so we are glad that he is resting now from all his pains. He will be missed. At the end of the month we went to Hangtown'09. Its like a big motocross race where all the pro's race. It was an all day thing. It was hot, with tons of people and very long but fun. In 1969 Jimmy's grandpa (his dads dad) raced and won! I thought that was pretty cool. So it was nice to watch. May kept us busy.
