Baby Time

I havent really blogged in soo long! Time just has gone so fast and we have been sooo busy. We bought a house and we moved and we cleaned, jimmy painted and fixed mostly everything, unpacked and are finally having things settle down a bit. But now in 10 days our due date! July 5th!  It kind of sneaked up on me, it really all went by way too fast. My mom has been here for a week now, helping us unpack and put things where they belong. What a great help. I am so thankful for moms!!A couple of weeks ago I had a wonderful baby shower from the girls at work, tea party themed. It was so much fun. This week it all has really become a reality. It is baby time! It totally sneaked up on me.. Wish me Luck!

BABY BABY BABY

We are having a baby! I am so late on posting this. I am so late on posting anything! I have just been so out of the loop with my blog but slowly but surely Ill get back into it. The biggest update is the baby update. I am 26 weeks and 6 days to be exact. So almost done with the 2nd tri-mester. We are BEYOND exited and my pregnancy has been good. The first few months were a little bit rough but I already forgot about it and I am feeling great! I havent had any crazy cravings. Sleeping has been a little bit hard since I just cant get confortable, and my wardrobe... well I dont have one anymore. None of my clothes really fit so I've been on the lookout for something that does. I am still working and thats gone fairly well, scrub tops are heaven sent since I really have room in them to grow ;)

We have decided not to find out the gender of our baby. We had the 20 week ultrasound and we were curious but wanted to keep it more exiting. Everyone around us wants to know so they can get the baby things but we wanted to be surpised. I will try to be ready as much as I can with the neutral colors and I really love the gray and yellow so we have something to work with.

The miracle of a baby is so amazing. I just feel so blessed to be able to create life. It really is such a tremendous spiritual experience that has strenghtened my testimony and has helped me grow. Bringing a baby into this world is such a beautiful gift and I feel so honored to be able to be a part of our Heavenly Father's plan of happiness by helping this come to pass.

3rd Anniversary

We went to SOUTH LAKE TAHOE for our 3rd year anniversary on the 10th. We had a lot of fun. The weather was perfect! We stayed for the weekend and did whatever we wanted whenever we wanted. No schedule involved. WE LOVED not having anywhere to be at any certain time.FREEDOM. We did a 20 mile BIKE RIDE along the lake, ATE delicious food and EXPLORED around the lake. It wouldnt be a normal bike ride without me tipping over... once again. Those bike riding clip on pedals and I have a never ending fight.

Family Vacation

AHHH! So exited that my family came to visit. They came at the end of last month and it was so fun having them in my home. My parents flew in from Chicago and my brother and his wife drove all the way from Idaho to see us.We all stayed in our little tiny house. We had a lot of fun, we talked, we laughed,ate and shopped. They were here for 7 days and the days flew by :( We did a lot for the short time they were here. We went to San Francisco, Yosemite National Park, Sacramento, Big Trees Park,went out on the boat with Jimmy's parents, went bowling and made tons of mexican food. My dad was so nice to change my breaks on my car and sanded down my headlights because they were getting soo dim at night. Thanks Pa! It made me really happy to spend some time with them. My youngest brother couldnt be here because of work and scool but we sure did miss him. I LOVE VACATIONS- because I took off work the whole time they were here! While my family was here we also got to celebrate Jimmy's Birthday. We had two days of celebrations. A birthday dinner on sunday at his parents and a burger dinner at Jimmy's favorite burger place. Overall a very fun time and I cant wait for all of us to get together again.

Talents

Lately I've been looking for a talent that I just cant seem to find. I know that we all have different talents but I want to be a good decorator! Some people just have an eye for things, like what kind of furniture to get, and good accent colors and all sorts of creativness that is hard on my brain. I am on a journey to decorate our new place. We are not finished but we will try to move in this weekend. And then I will have a clean canvas. Wish me luck!

do what I can. I can't wait until it's all the way done.

Summer kid

Once upon a time I was a summer kid. No school, no work, basically no responsibilities. Just pool time, popsicle time,movie time and friend time. I need a day to be a summer kid again!

The duplex is OURS!

We have been patiently waiting and waiting and more waiting but finally we own a home! This past Wednesday we closed escrow and are officially home owners (it is really a duplex, but same thing, we own it!). We are thrilled that everything worked out according to plan and we are all ready for this new phase of our lives.
Honestly, I feel like now that we own a house we have to grow up and get on with life. As I think about that I feel panic at first then I think about all the good things that the future holds and it makes me happy that we are where we are at.
I am a natural worrier so making a big commitment like having a loan for the house was hard to think about at first but I am glad that I got over it and now.. I AM READY TO DECORATE! and have fun with paint. The first project I will be taking on will be redoing the cabinets. Wish me luck! I have a few projects in mind but I will think about my next one when I am done with the cabinets. One step at a time :)

Jimmy has plenty of projects of his own:

1. Painting the inside of both units
2. Putting hardwood floor in the unit we are living in- wooray! goodbye carpet.
3. Installing granite countertops
4. Getting new garage doors
5. Buying and installing new cooling units

The list probably can go on and on but mostly the major things are DONE!

We are not moved in yet, and we are not planning on moving in until the work we have to do is finished. That way moving in and unpacking wont be absolute chaos.

Waiting

We are still wating for things to work out for us for the duplex. Banks like to take their time. So for now the clock is ticking!! The work is finished on the house and it looks amazing. So much improvement from what it was before. Once its ours I can post pictures :)

Change

We are in the process of buying a home! We are really exited as this is the first step to becoming "grown-ups" which is really exiting. The place is only 5 minutes up the road from where we live but 5 minutes makes a difference. We will be more in the mountains so it will be a little bit more snowy but we get to enjoy the mountain/forest feel. It has a beautiful view. As of right now we are still pending on it and the closing date is in May. A lot of repairs need to be done before we move in. Im exited to make the place our own and pick out appliances, countertops, floors and everything else! Although it is a duplex, so we get to have double the work and double the fun. In preparation for the transition we had to move! Literally the worst experience. Yes we got to de-clutter but woah. It was hard work. I became a packing machine because I had to. But I am soo happy that its over and that I can just put it all behind me.

From December to February

After not blogging in forever here are a few things that I missed blogging about:

1.Jimmy and I made our debuts as Mary and Joseph at our ward's Christmas Party

2. We went to Chicago for Christmas and New Years!- Loved being with my family

3.My sweet Grandma passed away in January- had to go on a quick trip to Mexico City

4. Spent a weekend with my cousin in San Francisco



5. Went on a cruise to Puerto Vallarta and Cabo- It was Awesome!!!!

Its been busy these past few months and there were for sure some ups and downs but I think thats just how life goes. I love having things to look forward to and the next thing is our trip to Idaho! Heading to good'ol Rexburg for Marty's ( Jimmy's brother) graduation. Im happy I get to see my brother and his wife and some of my old roomates! Yay for friends :)

I think I have a hard time because it usually takes tons of time. I have to drive at least 40 min to the closest big town to find what I am looking for. I still need to choose a photo that I would like to use for the Christmas card but that seems like that is the hardest part of all. Everything else is pretty simple. to the Christmas Card that I think I like the most!

2 YeArS!

We cant even believe that we've been married for two years! It was our anniversary this past weekend. To be specific it was on sunday 10/10 and we spent a beautiful weekend in Monterey Bay, CA. We had so much fun. We stayed two nights, went out to eat at yummy restaurants, rode our bikes on the coast on a 21 mile/2hr ride, hung out at the beach, went to the aquarium, went sight seeing and got new phones! We loved Monterey and were so happy to spend a few days together away from home.
