Jimmy is having Surgery

As you all know Jimmy loves to ride motorcycles, and I love it too. What I dont like its the injuries that come with it. Posted is the picture of Jimmy's full toe when it was attached by pins when he had an accident at an Idaho City Race. There was a guy going the wrong way and almost hit him head on but Jimmy was able to move and the only thing that he hit was his foot, he clipped his toe with the foot peg, therefore the injury. About a month ago Jimmy was out riding and he hurt his wrist. He's had wrist problems for about 3 years, but this time he felt he should get it checked. Good thing he did!. He had xrays done and we found out that he has a ligament tear between two little bones called the scaphoid and lunate. We went to a hand specialist in San Francisco and he scheduled a surgery for Dec 23,2009. Surgery is the only way to get it fixed. But thats not all, the total recovery time untill he can use it fully is 6 months! Please keep us in your prayers so all will go well.

Catching up!

A lot has happened since I blogged last. It seems like I dont have enough hours in the day to do everything I'd like to do. I've been very busy with work and trying to keep up with evertything else. We went to Chicago in august, my brother came home from his mission in Colorado. We were really glad to see him and spend some time there. We went to Nauvoo , we had such a good trip. Then came Jimmy's birthday in September. We went camping and had dinner at a nice restaurant. I made him a pie and got him a wheat eater for his birthday. I also made him a delicious cherry pie for his birthday, we also celebrated with Jimmy's family with a yummy dinner that his mom made and a homemade icecream cake to die for. In October we had our ONE year anniversary and we had a weekend of fun. The real day was on a saturday so on friday we went to a movie ,went bowling and went out to dinner. On Saturday we went go cart racing at this place in Sacramento and I tried my best and got 9th place out of 10 and Jimmy got first! Then we went to the church bookstore. We were looking for a pitcture to buy but they didnt have the one we wanted. At the end of the night we got to eat our wedding cake, which by the way was really good still. Its been crazy busy but still so fun. Thats what we've been up to for the last three months. Ill try to update more often :

End of Summer

Its been so long since i've updated the blog but we have been super super busy. I 'm working and I'm trying to keep up with everything else and I am having fun doing it. I really am enjoying my job at the hospital and love to wear scrubs to work. I feel like I am in my PJ's. Sometimes it gets stressful while working in the ER and so many things go on but I try to keep it under control. We've done so man fun things this summer and I wanted to post some pictures of our adventures. One weekend we went to San Francisco and hung out at Pier 39. We had delicious clam chowder bowls and went to Ripley's Believe it or Not. It was fun to be a tourist. We also went camping one weekend and it was reallly fun. Jimmy is the best person to camp with, he takes care of finding a spot, getting everything set up and even scarring off the mountain lions. All I have to do is cook. We had a really good time. We went swimming and ate some delicious food. Although summer is pretty much all the way through its still pretty hot here so I'm exited to continue doing things outdoors.

My 24th Birthday!

Ok so I am sitting here the night of my 24 birhtday and I can truly say it was a wonderful day. As I think back on my life I've come to realize that yes we do become older but we become wiser and I think its a pretty good trade off. I loved spending my birthday with Jimmy, is my first birthday since we've been married and I really ejoyed it. Everyone made my day so sweet and nice. It truly was a special day. I loved my dad singing happy birthday on the phone to me and I loved talking to my mom about the day I was born.I definetly got the royal treatment from the Newsom's and got so many nice gifts. I want to say Thank you to EVERYONE that made my day special! I love you all.

Santa Cruz

Two weeks ago we went to Santa Cruz for the graduation of Jimmy's cousin Grace. We had a really good trip. We stayed with Jimmy's grandparents friends. They were the nicest people ever. They let us stay at their house and fed us the most delicious food. It was really nice to meet Jimmy's cousins and spend some time with them. We went to the Santa Cruz board walk and Jimmy and Jim played the "how fast can you throw" game. They had a machine that measured the speed, Jimmy's best was 63mph. It was fun watching. On Sunday we went to the graduation and had a nice lunch after. It was a very relaxing weekend.

My first blanket

I'm really exited because I finished my first sowing project. A baby blanket for Ashley's Braden. I had lots of fun making it. Thank you Lorena for all your help and patience with teaching me. I am ready to make more!
