We all went to Chicago and by meaning all i mean Jimmy and I and his whole family! We all stayed at my parents house and had a delicious New Years dinner. Then the following days we got ready for the reception that we had in Chicago. It was really fun seeing old friends and family. I loved spending time with both of our families there. We had so much fun touring around the city. The weather was descent for a Chicago winter averaging on the 20F. The trip was a success! We went to The Art Museum, had Chicago style hot dogs at Portillos and even went to Wrigley Field. It was a great time. When we realized it was time to go home... I was very sad to leave, hopefully we can go back sometime this year and visit. Leaving Chicago was another story. So Jimmy and I were on a different flight than his parents, we rode together to the airport in California so we wanted to return together. Our filghts were 12 hrs appart which meant we had to wait at the airport for 12 hours. We called United and asked if we could just go in the flight that Jimmy's parents where getting on at 8pm instead of 6 am that morning. They said sure that there was room. Well when we get to the airport and they said that we cant. If you missed your plane (like we did) you can get on a flight on standby to the destination we were going. Well we had a layover so they wanted to send us to Denver and then we had to buy our own plane tickets to Sacramento. LAME-because we knew that the 8pm flight to Sacramento had room for us! So after talking to so many people and jimmy telling the counter lady that we just got married and had no money to buy other tickets, she was touched and changed us to the 8 flight. So we finally made it to California! That was the end of our trip and really no desire to deal with airlines.
