SHUTTERFLY CRHISTMAS CARDS!

Shutterfly’s 2010 holiday collection is huge. They have soo many different cards to choose from, with pictures and without. Here are the Christmas cards http://www.shutterfly.com/cards-stationery/christmas-cardsThey also have cute wall calendars and holiday invitations http://www.shutterfly.com/calendars/wall-calendarsIt’s hard to make up my mind on which card I like best. Here is a link to their Christmas cards with pictures:http://www.shutterfly.com/cards-stationery/christmas-photo-cards I really would like to be better about sending Christmas cards. I think I have a hard time because it usually takes tons of time. I have to drive at least 40 min to the closest big town to find what I am looking for. It is so nice that you can make them online, order them and have them shipped, is the best. It couldn’t get any easier. I still need to choose a photo that I would like to use for the Christmas card but that seems like that is the hardest part of all. Everything else is pretty simple. to the Christmas Card that I think I like the most!

2 YeArS!

We cant even believe that we've been married for two years! It was our anniversary this past weekend. To be specific it was on sunday 10/10 and we spent a beautiful weekend in Monterey Bay, CA. We had so much fun. We stayed two nights, went out to eat at yummy restaurants, rode our bikes on the coast on a 21 mile/2hr ride, hung out at the beach, went to the aquarium, went sight seeing and got new phones! We loved Monterey and were so happy to spend a few days together away from home.

hApPy BiRtHdAy JIMMY!

This last weekend we celebrated Jimmy's Birthday! We started the weekend by going camping on friday. We had tons of fun and we ate a whole lot of marshmallows. Jimmy kept teasing me because he said I didnt have the patience to let it roast slowly. My method consisted of putting the marshmallow directly in the flame and letting it catch on fire, then I would blow it out haha. It was a lot of fun. On saturday we left camp around one. In the evening we went out to dinner at Applebee's. Sunday we celebrated his real birthday day at his parents house where his mom made him Burrito's and a homemade mint-chip ice cream cake. Jimmy is the sweetest husband and I am so lucky to have him in my life. Happy Birthday Jimmy! I love you.

My Brother's Wedding

My brother got married August 13, 2010 in the Bountiful, Utah Temple. Congratulations Tavo and Cori! It was so nice to spend time with my family. It was such a beautiful wedding and Im happy to have Cori in our family. The wedding was on friday and the reception on saturday in Fruita, Colorado. Weddings are hard work, by the end of the reception day I was the most tired I've ever been in my entire life. Everyone did the best they could and helped so much to get everything set up. We did tons of traveling from Utah to Colorado back to Utah and up to Rexburg. While in Utah we visited temple square at night and I was able to meet with my friend Amanda. In Rexburg we got to go to my brother's new apartment and drove down to Idaho Falls to pick up a new bed for the newlyweds. I was able to go site seeing at BYU-I and I say sight seeing because there is so many new changes, that I couldnt even recognize it. Also I was able to spend a teeny bit of time with McCall, we went to get a snow cone and did some catching up. My mom drove back with me from Idaho to California. What a trooper, I loved her company during the drive and I enjoyed her stay with me for two weeks. That sums up the last crazy month!

Birthday Time June 28

It was my birthday last month and it was such a good birthday. I am so blessed to have so many wonderful friends and family. My birthday was on a Monday, but the Sunday before, Jimmy’s parents had a birthday dinner for me. Jimmy’s mom made delicious chicken cordon blue, rice, fruit salad and green salad. She also made dessert, this yummy lemon meringue with fresh strawberries. She is a great cook and so sweet. On Monday Jimmy woke me up before he left for work at 5:00am so I could open my birthday present. A month ago Jimmy got me a roadbike for my birthday so I already knew about that but he surprised me with some clip on shoes, highlighter color bright t-shirts and a speedometer! I am so ready to go out on the road. Jimmy’s mom and sisters took me out for breakfast. After breakfast Bonnie took me to Sacramento to get a pedicure, do some shopping and go out to lunch. We had such a fun time. Jimmy had to work but when he got home we went out for Mexican and a movie. I got a box of goodies from my parents and a card, I miss them, so it was so nice to get a little piece of home in a box. Jimmy’s parents knew that we needed a new camera so they got me one. I am so exited because our cameras have been broken for a while. It was so fun to get together with our family and friends.

San Francisco/ Kristin Came to Visit!

On June 17 Kristin made it to the Oakland Airport! I am so happy that Kristin came to visit. We were roomates in apartment 311 at the ridge and I had not seen her in about 3 years. We had so much fun while she was here. She was here from thursday thru sunday which was too short but we did so much in such little time. My friend Bonnie and I picked her up from the Airport on thursday evening, we then drove to the hotel. On friday we went to Alcatraz, we loved walking around the island and the tour was really interesting. After we headed to Lombard street in San Francisco. This street is soo windy but soo pretty. After, we did some shopping and had some food. We did soo much walking around the city and it was so cold. The temperature was about 55 degrees all day! We froze and we looked for sweaters everywhere but we didnt find any. We then headed to see Wicked, it was amazing. I loved it, we all did. It was Kristin's third time seeing it and now I understand why. On saturday we came back to Murphys and showed Kristin around, she was definetly a trooper on the steep bike ride we took her on. We showed her the biggest gold nugget and took her to see some gigantic trees. On Sunday we went to church and Kristin made a delicious fruit pizza for the ward linger longer. Then we took Kristin to the Oakland temple before we said goodbye :( It was such a fun weekend and was sad when it was over.
THANKS FOR COMING TO VISIT KRISTIN! THANKS FOR COMING WITH US BONNIE!

Helping Hands

In may as a part of a stake service project a couple of wards in the area including my ward were in charge of cleaning up and doing some maintenance on the fairgrounds. Every year there is a county fair held there and the place was in need of much work. There was about 100+ volunteers there to help. Everyone had different projects going, mowing the lawns, painting, putting ribbons on the stuff entered in the fair etc. It was so neat to see how many people showed up and the results were amazing, we worked from 8 to 12:30 and so much work got done in such a short time. The fairgrounds people were so happy , they said
" We usually pay for a bus load of prisoners to come and get the fairgrounds ready for the fair but you guys work better and faster" I was glad to hear that was the case.

Our Trip to Mexico

In the month of Jan I finally had the chance to go to Mexico and visit my family. It had been 6 years since I had last gone back. WE LOVED IT. I loved every minute of it all. Jimmy was able to meet the rest my family and got to know them a little bit. We first stayed with my mom's side of the family. My cousin Anabel decided that since most of my cousins and uncle's could not come to the wedding here they would throw a traditional Mexican wedding. Woah! were we surprised. Everyone in my moms family came. My cousin dressed up as a priest and we had a "ceremony" I even cried haha. It was just so sweet that they wanted to share that with us. There was so much food, music, dancing, decorations, kareoke and even some fireworks! *From a big wedding next door but we got to ejoy them too :) * Overall we had a really good time. We also got to go to some mexican ruins at a place called Xochicalco. They built these at the top of a mountain and there was a beautiful view. The next few days we spent with my grandparents. Jimmy and I got to tour around Mexico City and enjoy the sites with my grandpa. We also got to go to the Mexico City Temple and it was amazing. My grandma was getting ready for surgery so we also went to the hospital with them and helped them with whatever we could. I also got to see my mom and dad there. It was a very fun trip and we loved my family, the food and the places we visited. PS: pics to come....

Thoughts

-I've been thinking a lot about all the blessings in my life and I can't hardly believe how blessed I've always been. Its amazing how we are so loved by our Heavenly Father nad how His hand is in all things.

-Jimmy finally got his cast off! His wrist looks great. Now that the cast is off, he has to be more careful with it. YOU CAN DO IT JIMMY! Now we need a hand specialist for physical therapy. If anyone knows of any good ones in Northern California.. please let us know.

-Yesterday I had the opportunity to go to a YW training meeting and Sis Anne Dibb was the speaker. It was so good! It definetly helped me re-charge my batteries for my calling. And I got to hug her, which I thought was pretty cool since she is Pres. Monson's daughter and all.

-Elder Holland is coming to our stake conference! I am so exited about this and cannot wait. I will definetly be getting there super early so I can sit up-close.

- I really need to do some decorating around the house. I need ideas. PlEASE share.

-I've been thinking about going back to school, I wish I would have gotten better grades in Anat & Phys and Microbiology. ugh.

-Michelle, hurry up and come visit me

Jimmy's Surgery Update

Jimmy had surgery on the 23. Thankfully it all went well and Jimmy's wrist seems to be healing just fine. The Doc was able to reatach the ligament. He also put 2 pins inside making an X to stabilize and not allow any movement until it heals. Then he will take them out. He wore a bandage for a week, this past wednesday we went to San Francisco to the doctor and he put a cast on. The doctor said that out of all the surgeries he's done in 20 years his ligament remnant was the best one he ever saw. Pretty impressive! Dr. Bickel did an amazing job and we are so lucky we found him. If you ever need a hand wrist specialist let us know.
